Cleaning Wheels and Tires
"For excellent tire and wheel cleaning results use Blue Coral® Wheel
Magic® Cleaner for all wheels."
To help remove soils that collect moisture and can cause rust , spray the
wheel wells with wheel cleaner. Follow the manufacturer's directions
and rinse thoroughly.
For really tough brake dust build-up, use a specialized brake dust removal
product. For more routine jobs, use a wheel cleaner followed by
a tire cleaner.
Clean one wheel at a time. Don't run around the vehicle trying to keep
each wheel at the same stage of cleaning -- cleaners shouldn't be allowed
to dry, or remain on the wheels any longer than the instructions state.
There are special tire cleaners on the market. Some are made specifically
for whitewalls, but you can use a whitewall cleaner on a blackwall tire.
To avoid any overspray of cleaning products from tire to wheel, cut a cardboard
disc the size of your wheel, with two horizontal slots cut out in the middle
for your finger and thumb grip. For extra strength, cover the disc with
duct tape to stop any liquid from seeping through the cardboard. Place
the disc over the wheel to protect it when you're cleaning your tires. |
